George McReynolds, CFP®

George has been helping successful people with all aspects of their personal finances for the past 35 years.

He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and author of the personal finance book, "Prosperity By Design: How to make great financial decisions."

He is an active public speaker and an often-quoted media resource for personal finance, tax, real estate and mortgage topics as well as time management and personal growth. He was featured on the cover of Suburban Life Magazine in Philadelphia. He spoke on the subject of goal setting and visualization at the Expert Summit at The Harvard Club of Boston in 2019. His speech was published in the kindle book, "Expert Stories". He recently wrote the foreword to the latest edition of the book, "9 Money Mistakes That Doctors Make," written by Dr.  Vicki Rackner.

Education

George is a graduate of the College for Financial Planning. He attended Penn State University, Central Texas College and Immaculate University. He graduated from the Institute of Business and Finance and he attended the Schlichter-Kratz Real Estate Institute.  

George has completed advanced education in proactive Tax Planning Strategies through the CTC Tax Planning Academy. He has also completed advanced education in Employee Stock Option Planning by completing the three part Net Worth Institute -High Value Stock Option Planning workshops.  George maintains his high level of knowledge through a minimum of 40 hours of continuing education every year required by the IARFC; 30 hours every two years required by the CFP Board of Standards and the Pa. Insurance Dept. George also completes 18 hours of tax training required by the IRS Annual Filing Season Program.  

​George subscribes to the Code of Ethics of the CFP Board of Standards, which requires that every client be provided with Integrity, Objectivity, Competence, Fairness, Confidentiality, Professionalism and Diligence.

A Rich History of Trust, Service and Courage

George served with the US Army and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal. He served on the security detail for the Supreme Allied Commander at NATO headquarters in Belgium and achieved a secret security clearance. He maintained his secret clearance while serving with an Army Intelligence Unit in the Reserves. He graduated with high honors from both the First Army Intelligence School at Fort Bragg, NC and the Military Police School at Fort McClellan, AL.

He completed an Outward Bound type leadership and mountain climbing program in the German Alps. While serving as a paramedic and police officer, he was awarded numerous commendations and is credited with saving the lives of 13 people in separate instances.

He graduated first in his class from the Pennsylvania State Police Academy. He also served on a police SWAT team and as a self-defense, first aid and rappelling instructor.
